Full job description

We are currently looking for a part time domestic assistant to join our friendly team.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

To provide a full and effective housekeeping service, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains public facilities, residents rooms and bathrooms, visitor and staff areas, dining room and kitchenettes.
Adhere to daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules and initial when completed.
Supply rooms with toilet paper, contiwipes, soap etc.
Stock trolley for the day , ensuring cleaning and laundry cupboards are kept locked , key returned to the Nurses station after use.
Any other duties assigned by the Head Housekeeper, Nurse in Charge, Deputy Manager or Registered Manager.
Universal precautions must be taken when cleaning blood and body fluids ensuring that guidelines are adhered to.
Be aware of the health and safety statement and of COSHH statement and risk assessments.
To report any malfunction of equipment or fittings that require maintenance or cannot be kept to standard through normal cleaning procedures.
Contribute towards the induction and training of new staff.
Respond in a polite and professional manner towards residents and visitors at all times. Never enter a residents room without knocking and getting permission to enter.
Be aware of Staff Handbook ; Uniform policy and general conduct.

We offer full induction and training, 28 days holiday including Bank Holidays, competitive hourly rate plus enhancements, 'Auto-Enrolment Work Place Pension' scheme and a uniform is provided. This post is subject to DBS (cost will be met by employer).

We have been providing all aspects of nursing care in Poole for over 35 years and we now recruiting staff for our purpose built home. The Home is run by the Manager Angelique Atack and a team of dedicated staff with a number of relevant qualifications. The home has also gained Gold Standards Framework accreditation (GSF), 'Beacon' status, for implementing improved coordination and organisation to deliver better outcomes in line with residents needs and preferences for their end of life care.
