Full job description

Mason’s Animal Feeds Ltd is currently recruiting for a Production Operative in our Animal Feeds Manufacturing Plant.

Applicants for this position must be computer literate, motivated, organized, and team players.

Our production facility operates 24 hours a day from Monday through Saturday and upon successful qualification as a trainee, the capable candidate will be working a weekly shift rotation with the following available schedules:

Mon, Tue, Wed - 6am-8pm
Mon to Fri - 8pm-6am
Thu, Fri, Sat - 6am - 8pm
Mon to Fri - 4pm - 12pm

Duties to Include:

Mill operation using computerized control of equipment
Special batch mineral addition by hand inclusion
Restock of mineral and bulk bins for current and next shift production
Oversite and assisting with the loading of finished product transport Lorries
Maintaining cleanliness of the Production Area

Successful candidate will have:

Legal right to work in the UK
Record of good personal health
Ability to lift and to carry 25kg bags
Pride in a job properly done
Concern for Animal welfare
Good Communication skills
Good use of written and spoken English
Good maths skills
Basic computer skills
Residence local to Mason’s Animal Feeds
Valid driving license and personal transportation
Punctuality when reporting for shift work
Ability to work to a set production schedule
Willingness to take and follow instructions; both written and verbal
License or ability to qualify for license to drive forklift
Farming experience is preferred
