Full job description

Overview:

We are seeking an Optical Assistant / Receptionist / Dispensing Optician on a full time or part time basis to join our team in providing high-quality eye care services. The applicant will be required to deliver the highest levels of customer care in our busy, professional practice with a keen interest in supporting optometrists and assisting patients.
The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be commercially aware and be able to work well as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

- Provide customer support in frame selection, lens fitting, and adjustments

- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient appointments

- Process orders for spectacles and contact lenses

- Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the database

- Handle administrative tasks and general customer service duties including scheduling appointments and managing enquiries

Experience:

- Previous experience working in an optical or healthcare setting is preferred

- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients

- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail

- IT skills essential
