We are a growing door manufacturing company supplying high-quality internal and external doors to trade and commercial customers. As our business continues to expand, we are looking for a reliable and organised Administrative & Purchasing Assistant to support daily operations and grow into a purchasing-focused role over time.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who is looking to develop a long-term career in operations and procurement within manufacturing.
Initially, the role will focus on administration, customer support, and operational coordination. As you gain experience and product knowledge, responsibilities will progressively expand into purchasing, supplier management, and stock coordination.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdministration & Office Support
· Answering telephone and email enquiries professionally
· Processing orders, invoices, and delivery paperwork
· Maintaining accurate records and filing systems
· Supporting production and logistics teams with administrative tasks
· Coordinating deliveries and supplier communications
· Assisting with stock records and reporting
· General office administration duties as required
Future Purchasing Responsibilities
· Assisting with ordering materials and components
· Liaising with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and deliveries
· Monitoring stock levels and shortages
· Supporting cost control and purchasing processes
· Building supplier relationships and negotiating where appropriate
· Assisting with inventory planning and procurement reporting
Skills & Experience
· Previous administration or office experience preferred
· Strong organisational and time management skills
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal
· Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
· Experience in manufacturing, construction, or purchasing would be advantageous but not essential

Mon-Thurs 08:00 – 17:00
Fri 08:00 – 16:00
Salary
Dependent on experience
Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
