Job summary
Talking Therapies is a successful, well-established service provided by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, delivering evidence-based psychological interventions to the population of Portsmouth.
The post holder will provide efficient and effective reception and administrative support for the Adult Mental Health Talking Therapies Service based at Hamble House. There is a strong emphasis on delivering excellent customer service as the first point of contact for patients, members of the public and external agencies, both face-to-face and by telephone.
The successful candidate will be able to prioritise their workload, demonstrate initiative, work with minimal supervision, and adopt a friendly, professional and flexible approach when dealing with patients, staff and visitors.
Please note: This post is for 30 hours a week. The successful candidate must be available to work Saturday mornings and Mondays.
At present, the Trust is unable to offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship for this post. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application.

Main duties, tasks & skills required
Main Duties
Provide a professional, compassionate, friendly and sensitive reception service to patients at all times.
Operate a small switchboard, taking messages and actioning calls in a timely manner.
Coordinate waiting lists and book, amend and cancel appointments.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Open and close the administration office as required.
Open, date stamp and distribute internal and external post.
Process referrals received into the service via the website, email and telephone line.
Experience (Essential)
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, including telephone skills.
Able to work on own initiative.
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary skill-mix team.
Ability to accurately input and maintain information on electronic systems.
Ability to provide a professional and efficient service as the first point of contact for patients, staff and visitors.
Experience (Desirable)
Previous administrative experience.
Experience maintaining filing systems and collating information.
Experience working in a fast-paced and changing environment with minimal supervision.
