Nursery Assistant - Lunch Cover

Permanent | 14 hours per week | Monday – Friday - 11:00am - 14:00pm

Hourly rate: £12.71 per hour

Join our warm and welcoming nursery, where children are encouraged to learn, play, and grow in a nurturing environment. Our setting provides enriching experiences for children aged 3 months to 5 years, with access to spacious outdoor gardens and engaging play areas that support curiosity, confidence, and development.

We are passionate about supporting our team too, offering a friendly, collaborative atmosphere where staff feel valued.

We are looking for a dedicated Nursery Assistant to join our growing team, helping to deliver high standards of care and education while building positive relationships with children, parents, colleagues, and management.

Requirements

The care and supervision of the children about their physical, emotional and intellectual needs.
Working with the Early Years Practitioners on planning and preparation of activities, to meet children’s individual needs, liaising with parents and negotiating working targets ensuring effective communication within the nursery.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor always.
Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
Assist with the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
Observe and support children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance from colleagues or Room Leader if in doubt
Take part in delivering the highest standards of care throughout the nursery
