Full job description

Governors are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join our vibrant mainstream school. The successful candidates will play a vital role in supporting pupils both within the classroom and through targeted withdrawal interventions focused on academic progress and behaviour. These roles are 25 hours per week term time only plus INSET days. Please note the salary is pro rata to that shown on this advert.

Main Responsibilities

Provide in-class support to pupils, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
Deliver small group or one-to-one withdrawal sessions to address academic needs and behavioural challenges.
Work closely with teachers, ALNCO, and pastoral staff to implement tailored strategies.
Encourage positive behaviour, resilience, and independence in learning.
Monitor and record pupil progress, feeding back to staff and parents where appropriate.
Contribute to creating an inclusive, supportive, and safe learning environment.

Passionate about supporting young people in education.
Patient, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
Skilled in communication and teamwork.
Willing to learn and develop professionally, with training provided.
Experience in supporting children with additional needs (desirable but not essential).
