Full job description

Knockinaam Lodge, a 5-star luxury hotel with a Michelin heritage, is seeking a passionate and reliable Chef to join our award-winning kitchen team on a temporary basis for up to two months.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef, whether you are looking to gain experience within a fine dining environment, pick up seasonal work, or spend time working in one of Scotland’s most beautiful coastal locations.

You will work alongside our experienced kitchen brigade, supporting the preparation and delivery of dishes to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and cooking of dishes across various sections of the kitchen
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient working environment
Follow food hygiene, health, and safety procedures at all times
Prepare ingredients and assist with service during busy periods
Support stock rotation and kitchen organisation
Work collaboratively as part of a professional and supportive team
Help uphold the high standards of hospitality and dining experience expected at Knockinaam Lodge

Skills & Experience

Previous kitchen experience preferred, though level of experience can vary
Enthusiasm for good food and hospitality
Ability to work well under pressure and within a team
Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
Positive attitude and strong work ethic

This temporary position offers the chance to work in a high-quality kitchen with a strong reputation, while enjoying a unique coastal setting and supportive team environment.

Pay: £10.00-£15.00 per hour
