Salary: £26,494.86 - £30,248.30 Full Time Equivalent per annum
Hours of work: 37 Hours per week, 52 Weeks per year, Full-Time, Temporary/Fixed Term Maternity Cover from September 2026 to April 2027

About the role:
Reporting to the Assistant Principal Adult, ESOL & Online, the Adult Learning & Online Co-Ordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of a designated curriculum area at City of Portsmouth College. The post holder will be expected to lead and manage a team of staff, ensuring all duties are effectively undertaken to deliver a high-quality service to our students and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- To oversee the day-to-day operational management of the admin team
- To line manage the team of online teachers
- To ensure that all individual team members personal work complies with college standards and is carried out properly, effectively and within deadlines
- To lead through your duties and position to be a role model for best practices and standards for your team
- To be responsible for managing the student and other stakeholder experience and journey
- To liaise with other internal departments to ensure all members of the team have all required mandatory training at the start of their employment and refreshed on an annual basis Deliver the line manager element of inductions and where appropriate any role specific training
- Identify individual training and development needs and implement where required
- To contribute to a responsive and relevant curriculum offer
- To continue to develop partnerships with external stakeholders
- Contribute to the promotion of all aspects of the curriculum area
- Work with others to ensure the accuracy and reliability of college information systems
- Contribute to the process of self-assessment within the curriculum area and on a college wide basis.
- Manage partnerships effectively ensuring the college is meeting all audit requirements
