Location: Portsmouth, PO3
Pay: £13.49 per hour
Hours: 4 on 4 off (covering days, nights and weekends)

Job Description

What you'll be doing:

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

Access Control: Prevent and deter unauthorised access to the site
Security Monitoring: Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV
Patrolling: Conduct external and internal security patrols
Record-Keeping: Maintain logbooks and records, ensuring timely paperwork and effective handovers
Health & Safety: Record and report faults, hazards, and unsafe working practices to management
Energy Conservation: Switch off unnecessary lights and close windows during patrols
Customer Service: Deliver an outstanding level of customer service
Professionalism: Maintain the highest standard of personal presentation to uphold the image of Securitas and the client
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving security practices and processes

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

Valid SIA Licence
CCTV Licence (desirable, training available)
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must have the legal right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history
Able to work days, nights, and weekends
Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail

Due to the nature of this opportunity, candidates must be able to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) Clearance - Must be a British National and have lived in the UK for the last 5 years.
