Responsibilities will include:
- Assemble and wire electrical enclosures, control systems, and equipment in line with technical drawings and schematics
- Interpret wiring diagrams, model s, and bills of materials accurately
- Route and terminate cables, ensuring compliance with standards and best practice
- Carry out basic electrical testing (continuity, insulation, etc.) to verify integrity of work
- Identify and report defects, non-conformances, or build issues
- Work to defined quality and production targets
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation (5S)
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company and statutory regulations
Support continuous improvement activities to improve efficiency, quality, and safety
Adherence to Standards
- IPC 620 qualified or experience working to this standard
- Right- first-time build quality
- Adherence to production schedules and delivery targets
- Compliance with safety standards and procedures
- Accuracy of wiring and assembly work
Contribution to team performance and problem-solving
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
- Experience in electrical wiring / panel wiring / assembly
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
- Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment with a strong team focus
- Good attention to detail and quality focus
- Basic understanding of electrical principles and components
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Apprenticeship or relevant electrical qualification
- Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Knowledge of industry standards
Experience with testing equipment
Note : Due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include as a minimum existing right to live and work in the UK, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with UK National security clearance required for certain roles.*
