Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Early Years Childcare Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering positive learning experiences. The practitioner will work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality childcare services in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.

Duties

Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Provide attentive supervision and personalised care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Foster a warm, inclusive environment that encourages children’s independence and confidence.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and daily routines.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development and daily activities.
Support colleagues in managing the daily operations of the nursery or childcare setting.
Lead small group activities demonstrating management and leadership skills.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised environment.
Assist in the organisation of outings or trips, including driving when necessary, adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

recognised childcare qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Early Years Childcare and Education.
Proven nursery experience working with young children in a childcare setting.
Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and child development stages.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to work effectively with children, showing patience, empathy, and creativity.
Commitment to ongoing professional development in early years education. This position is ideal for passionate practitioners eager to make a positive impact on children's lives while developing their career within a supportive environment.
