Account Executive – Full Sales Ownership
Poynton (5 days per week in office)
£35,000 base + £35,000–£45,000 OTE

This is an opportunity to join a well‑established, global logistics and shipping network that helps small and medium‑sized businesses save time, reduce costs, and simplify how they operate.

The role

As an Account Executive, you’ll manage the full 360 sales cycle - from identifying and engaging new SME customers, through to closing deals and managing accounts long term.

You’ll be responsible for developing your own pipeline, onboarding clients, and becoming their trusted point of contact. Once accounts are live, you’ll continue to support and grow them - earning lifetime commission on every customer you bring into the business.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys new business and account management, with the confidence to build lasting relationships.

What you’ll be doing

Identifying and engaging new SME customers
Owning the sales process from first conversation to close
Understanding customer shipping habits and identifying cost‑saving opportunities
Building strong, long‑term client relationships
Managing and growing accounts once onboarded
Acting as a trusted advisor, supporting clients with pricing, billing, and service queries
Running your own pipeline with autonomy and accountability
Working towards clear performance milestones linked to progression

Training & development

You’ll take part in a structured 12‑month training programme covering:

Sales strategy and negotiation
Customer success and account management
Market positioning and value‑based selling

Training includes classroom learning, residential sessions, shadowing, and field coaching — giving you the tools and confidence to succeed.

What we’re looking for

Confident, motivated individuals with strong communication skills
A relationship‑focused mindset and outgoing personality
Desire to build a long‑term career in sales
Strong organisation and time‑management skills
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn, adapt, and take feedback

Sales experience is helpful, but attitude, drive, and people skills matter most.
