Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Architectural Technician to join our dynamic design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed drawings, models, and schematics to support architectural projects across various sectors. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative design solutions while honing your technical expertise in a collaborative environment. The position is paid and suitable for both experienced professionals and recent graduates eager to develop their careers in architecture and construction.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed architectural drawings, models, and schematics using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation.
Develop 3D visualisations and virtual models employing SketchUp, NavisWorks, and other modelling tools.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure accurate translation of design concepts into technical drawings.
Assist in creating construction documentation, including plans, sections, elevations, and details aligned with project specifications.
Incorporate civil engineering elements using Civil 3D where applicable to ensure comprehensive project integration.
Support the review of schematics and technical drawings for accuracy, compliance with building codes, and client requirements.
Contribute to project meetings by providing technical insights and updates on drawing progress.
Maintain organised digital files of all drawings and models in accordance with company standards.

Skills

Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks is essential.
Experience with SketchUp for conceptual modelling and NavisWorks for project coordination is highly desirable.
Knowledge of Civil 3D for civil engineering integration and Schematics development will be advantageous.
Strong understanding of construction processes and building regulations within the UK context.
Ability to interpret architectural plans, technical specifications, and construction documents accurately.
Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure precision in all deliverables.
Effective communication skills to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
Prior experience or familiarity with structural analysis or mechanical systems modelling is a plus but not mandatory. This role provides a stimulating environment where your technical skills will directly influence the success of innovative architectural projects.
