Production Process Operator
- Forklift counterbalance licence ideal
- Capable of physical exertion required
- Warehouse knowledge of loading and unloading
- Working knowledge of chemicals preferable
- Responsible for the manufacturing of liquids and powders or other production tasks
- To work safely, ensure product quality and maximise production
- Manufacturing batches of Finished Product according to process instructions
- Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment
- Monitoring/maintaining the production process and recording/processing conditions and quantities
- Reporting process deviations and make adjustments to maintain quality and production
- Cleaning down the site area and plant equipment thoroughly after use
- Providing samples to the laboratory and making process adjustments recommended by QC staff
Key Job Responsibilities
- Safely start up, operate and shutdown all plant equipment once trained and authorised to do so
- Comply with all standard Operating Procedures, Process Sheets and associated Work Instructions
- Maintain production records and process sheets to accurately reflect the operation being carried out
- Ensure work is completed in a timely manner and that deviations are recorded and promptly reported
- Strictly comply with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) standards and ensure personal PPE equipment is cleaned and maintained in good condition
- Carry out in process testing of products where applicable and ensure final product samples are taken to the laboratory in a timely fashion
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping at all times
- Load/Unload delivery vehicles/road tankers as required
- Maintain warehouse permits that accurately reflect the material being loaded/unloaded
- Comply with all health and safety requirements
- Report any accident, injury, or serious near miss to the Shift Manager
- Assist maintenance personnel with their activities where necessary
