Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for culinary arts to develop their skills within a professional kitchen environment. The Chef de Partie will play a vital part in maintaining the smooth operation of the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes
Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, such as fish, meat, or pastry stations
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed
Assist in menu planning and development alongside senior kitchen staff
Manage stock levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations
Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and training where necessary
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations throughout shifts
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
Familiarity with meal preparation, plating, and presentation skills
Experience serving in a busy restaurant setting is advantageous
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
