EXTRUSION OPERATOR WINSFORD

About the role
The role of the Extrusion Operator is to manufacture high quality blown extruded film to the required customer standards ensuring dedicated machines run with minimal scrap and downtime whilst maintaining a safe working environment. During the training period (normally 2-3 weeks) you will work Mon-Fri 9am-5pm before moving on to shift and reporting into the Production Manager.
Key responsibilities to include:
Working safe in accordance with site procedures and safe systems of work
Reporting all hazards and act on them accordingly
Housekeeping on all extrusion lines
Monitor of product quality and ensure all quality checks and testing is carried out in line with specifications
Monitor and manage line output rates, utilisation, scrap levels against plan/targets on each line
Operate extrusion machinery and monitor and manage recycling equipment on each unit
Ensure accurate data is recorded and inputted correctly
Ensure a good handover of information to the incoming operator
Experience/Qualifications:
Experience of working in a manufacturing environment (min 2 years experience) training will be provided (desirable)
Good team working and communication
Positive and pro-active attitude
Be able to work unsupervised and using own initiative
