Full job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Crewe Manufacturing Facility for a full time (38 hours per week) CNC Machinist – Manual Turner/Vertical Borer to join our team.

Responsibilities and Duties

The successful candidate will have a positive outlook and a can do attitude. Some of the main tasks will include:

Set, load & operate x3 manual vertical Webster Bennett Borers (36”, 36” & 72”)
Set, Load & operate manual lathe (Elliot)
Be proactive to maximize efficiency while maintaining 100% quality through independent & validation checks.
Work closely with the manufacturing engineers to improve quality and cycle time.

Essential and Desirable Skills:

Experience working in a similar role, in a manufacturing or engineering environment (Essential)
Ability to follow plans with minimum supervision (Essential)
Must be efficient and have excellent attention to detail (Essential)
Previous experience working with raw castings (Desirable)

Alternating shifts-

Monday to Thursday 6.00am- 2.00pm/Friday 6.00am- 12noon

Monday to Thursday 2.00pm-10.00pm / Friday 12noon- 6.00pm

Shift allowance paid
