Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dry Wall Fixer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and finishing drywall in various building projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction and related trades to contribute to high-quality building environments. The position involves working on-site across diverse projects, ensuring safety standards are maintained and work is completed efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install drywall panels accurately according to project specifications
- Tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall surfaces to achieve a smooth, professional appearance
- Repair or replace damaged drywall sections as required
- Assist with the preparation of surfaces prior to drywall installation, including framing and insulation work
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, plastering, masonry, roofing, plumbing, electrical work, and construction painting to ensure seamless project progress
- Follow schematics and technical drawings for precise installation and repairs
- Maintain a clean and organised work site at all times

Requirements
- Proven experience in drywall installation or related construction trades such as carpentry, plastering, or masonry
- Knowledge of construction principles including schematics and technical drawings
- Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., saws, drills), power tools (e.g., sanders, screw guns), and fabrication techniques
- Additional skills in roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, or construction painting are advantageous
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and blueprints accurately
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness to handle lifting heavy materials and working at heights if necessary
- Relevant construction certifications or training is preferred but not essential
