UNABLE TO OFFER SPONSERSHIP FOR THIS ROLE

Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated Night/Wake and Watch Staff to join our team in providing exceptional care and support within our Respite Centre for children and young adults with disabilities (Oswaldtwistle) and our adults care home for adults with learning/physical disabilities and behaviours that challenge (Knuzden). The Night Wake and Watch Staff will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our young people during the night hours. This role requires effective communication skills and a compassionate approach to care, as well as the ability to follow care plans and respond to any needs that may arise.

Shift Patterns

These vary covering 5 days weekly 9pm-10am this role includes bank holidays and weekends (1 in 1 off pattern for weekend)

Duties

Monitor children/young people/adults throughout the night to ensure their safety and comfort.
Communicate effectively with young people, addressing any concerns or needs promptly.
Follow individual care plans to provide tailored support for each young person.
Assist with any emergencies or incidents that may occur during the night shift.
Maintain accurate records of the young person and any significant occurrences.
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a seamless transition of care from day to night shifts.

Qualifications/Requirements

Previous experience in a care home / children's home/ home care setting is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
