Kitchenflair is an independant family run second generation retailer and manufacturer.
We are a kitchen & bedroom cabinet assembly factory and we are in need of a factory machinist, you must be highly experienced in this area eg: panel saw operator, CNC nesting machine and hot melt edgebander.
This is a permanent position ideal if you currently work for a furniture manufacturer.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator & Programmer to join our furniture manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality cabinets.
This role requires a strong understanding of CNC processes, tooling and programming. The ideal applicant will have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Programme and operate CNC machines to produce precise panels according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Operate and be capeable of running the CNC (AES Extreme Ultra 2132)
- Set up machines, including tooling and fixtures, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on CNC equipment to prevent malfunctions.
- Utilise software such as Microvellum.
- Apply basic maths skills for measurements, tolerances, and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimise manufacturing workflows.
- Understand how to manage stock of board and edging tape
- Take delivery of board and large sheets, ensuring correct storage
- The job requires lifting, carrying and assisting in general workshop/factory duties.
- Have a high level of organisation as we are a busy factory
- Be able to communicate within a well established hard working team
Qualifications
- Proven experience in CNC machining, programming, or related roles within manufacturing industries
- Proficiency in CAD software such as Microvellum.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and quality assurance standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
An honest and reliable candidate is sought, for a position which is 5 days out of 7, with a usual working week Monday - Friday from 8am to 5pm (Friday finish 3.45pm)
