Oakhill Equine Vets are excited to welcome an enthusiastic and passionate ambulatory equine vet to our friendly and progressive team in Preston, Lancashire.

Whether you are a new graduate looking for exceptional support or an experienced vet seeking your next challenge, we can offer a role tailored to your experience and interests within our established team of 15 equine vets. An interest in lameness and/or anaesthesia would be an advantage, but is by no means essential.

Support from two ECVS Diplomates in Surgery
Multiple certificate holders across a range of disciplines

A varied ambulatory caseload with excellent clients
Fairly shared out-of-hours rota
Two vets on call at all times for support

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about equine practice and enjoys working as part of a supportive team. The ideal candidate will be motivated, personable and keen to continue developing both clinically and professionally.

You may be a recent graduate looking for strong mentorship and a collaborative environment, or a more experienced vet seeking a practice where you can further develop your interests and work alongside a highly skilled team. We are keen to find someone who values high standards of patient care, enjoys building relationships with clients and brings a positive attitude to practice life.

We would particularly welcome candidates who are:
Passionate about equine veterinary work
Confident working both independently and as part of a team
Keen to learn and develop clinically
Friendly, approachable, and client-focused
Interested in contributing to a positive team culture

An interest in lameness and/or anaesthesia would be an advantage, but is by no means essential.
