C L Danson (Building Contractors) Ltd is an established Principal Contractor delivering refurbishment, maintenance and repair works throughout the North West of England.
Our clients include Housing Associations, Local Authorities & Insurers, with projects ranging from maintenance and minor repairs through to insurance reinstatement projects and larger planned refurbishment contracts.
Due to increased workload, we are looking to recruit an experienced Site Joiner to join our team.
As a Site Joiner you will form part of our direct delivery team, undertaking a variety of refurbishment, maintenance and repair projects across Lancashire and the wider North West.
Working alongside our site teams and subcontractors, you will be trusted to deliver high-quality works safely, efficiently and to the standards our clients expect. With projects ranging from planned refurbishments, insurance reinstatement and maintenance, no two days are the same.
The role is varied, working within occupied and unoccupied residential properties, schools, commercial premises and other public sector buildings where communication and attention to detail are as important as technical ability.
Typical works include:
- 1st & 2nd fix joinery.
- Internal / External door installations.
- uPVC / Aluminium / Timber window installations.
- Timber & metal-frame studwork and partitions.
- Kitchen installations.
- Repairs to structural timbers including roofs & joists.
The ideal candidate will be an individual who takes pride in producing quality workmanship and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, but also capable of individual problem solving where required.
Essential Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- NVQ Level 2 in Site Carpentry & Joinery
- Minimum five years' practical site experience.
- Competent in both 1st & 2nd fix joinery.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach when working within occupied properties.
Desirable:
- Experience working on refurbishment & maintenance projects.
- Fire door installation and remedial works is advantageous.
- PASMA, IPAF, First Aid, SSSTS or similar qualificaitons.
- Experience undertaking insurance reinstatement or social housing works.
Additional trade experience is welcomed but not essential. The ideal candidate will be an experienced joiner with a strong work ethic who takes pride in the quality of their work.
