Summary

Teaching Assistant 2A with welfare duty - temporary

The Governing Body of St Leonards C of E Primary school are seeking to appoint a highly skilled, motivated and experienced teaching assistant to join our inspirational and dedicated team of staff. The successful candidate will be required to be:

An exemplary teaching assistant with a proven track record of work in a primary school setting
Have a high standard of Maths and English
Motivating, patient, caring and considerate throughout their classroom practice
Have excellent communication skills
Able to work well as a member of a team and have adaptability and flexibility in working practices
Able to nurture, motivate and develop every child through high expectations of learning, achievement, progress and behaviour
Willing to engage in the wider aspects of school life.

Essential Qualifications

Grade A* - C at GCSE or O Levels/CSE in English & Maths (equivalent to A* - C GCSE)

Desirable Qualifications

First Aid certificate

Experience of working with children
Experience of working in a relevant classroom/service environment
Ability to relate well to children
Ability to work as part of a team
Good communication skills
Ability to relate well to parents/carers
Ability to supervise and assist pupils
Organisational skills
Knowledge of classroom roles and responsibilities
