Position Title: Event Assistant
Duration: Fixed term contract (07/09/2026 - 27/09/2026).
Hours: Part time and full-time hours available. Flexibility to work between 15hrs – 35hrs / week. Candidates must be available to work a combination of day and evening shifts (evening shifts generally have early finishes, around 9-10pm)
For students, we offer shifts that fit around course schedule.
Pay rate: £13.45/h

We are currently seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join a vibrant five-star visitor centre in the heart of Edinburgh as an Event Assistant.

A peek into the position
As an Event Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth operation of events. You will work as part of the front-of-house to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests. From assisting with food and beverage service to maintaining cleanliness and organisation, you will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere that exceeds customer expectations.
Your role in a nutshell
- Set up event spaces according to client specifications
- Serve food and beverages to guests with a professional and friendly demeanor
- Assist in the preparation and breakdown of events
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of service areas
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service
- Address guest inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
- Follow all safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your teammates.
-Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support the overall operation of the restaurant.
