We are looking to recruit a volunteer Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees.
Our Board meet every 6 weeks and there is usually a couple of hours commitment required.
As treasurer you may need to commit more hours to the role ensuring financial oversite for the Charity and producing reports in cooperation with the staff ready for the board meetings.
Responsibilities
- Assist with data entry and management using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
- Support accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking
- Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Contribute to financial reporting tasks under supervision
- Support the organisation’s bookkeeping activities and ensure compliance with internal policies
- Collaborate with team members to improve financial procedures and workflows
Experience
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms is preferred
- Basic understanding of financial management principles and practices
- Experience with accounts payable processes is advantageous
- Prior exposure to bookkeeping or administrative finance tasks is desirable but not essential
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a professional environment
