Acorn Shutters and Blinds Limited is a well-established, family run, company specialising in made to measure window furnishings including blinds, shutters, curtains and garden awnings. Based in Ayr, we are currently looking to recruit a Salesperson to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will ideally have previous face to face sales experience in the window furnishings sector. Initially, the candidate will be working alongside another member of our sales team to provide an understanding of how we work and to gain knowledge of our product range.
Qualifications & Skills
- Face to face sales experience. Ideally, working within the window blind sales market.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent numeracy and literacy will be required as the role will involve the measuring of blinds and associated products.
- Ability to understand customer needs and to follow customer specifications to ensure items are ordered correctly
- Full clean driving licence is essential
- Motivation and drive
- Proactive and timely approach to working day
Responsibilities & Duties
- Measuring and sales of all types of window blinds and garden awnings
- Dealing with customers primarily face to face and over the phone
- Providing first class customer service and being the focal point for both existing and new customers
- Daily appointments will be provided but candidate must have focus to also self-generate new business
- The role will cover South Ayrshire. Working day will primarily be on the road with occasional working/based from our showroom in Crown Street, Ayr.
