Sewing Machinist / Trainee Sewing Machinist
Luminae Design Ltd is looking for a skilled Sewing Machinist, or someone with the right attitude who is interested in training to become one.
We manufacture high quality equipment for the military and defence sector, producing specialist products used by professional end users in demanding environments.
This role would suit someone with strong attention to detail, a good work ethic, and the ability to work well as part of a team. Experience on industrial sewing machines would be an advantage, but we are also open to training the right person.
Role Details
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Pay: Starting at £12.71 per hour, with pay increasing as skills and experience develop

What You’ll Be Doing
You will be involved in the manufacture of tactical nylon equipment for military and defence customers. This includes sewing, assembling, checking, and finishing products to a high standard.
You will work as part of a small team in a friendly, focused working environment where quality and attention to detail are extremely important.
Key Responsibilities
- Sewing and assembling military and defence equipment
- Working with technical fabrics and specialist materials
- Following production instructions and quality standards
- Checking your own work to ensure a high quality finish
- Working efficiently while maintaining accuracy
- Supporting the wider production team when required
- Keeping your work area clean, organised, and safe
