Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Data Officer to support compliance, operational efficiency, and business development activities. This role combines data governance, regulatory compliance, administrative support, and commercial awareness. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulations while contributing to business growth initiatives.
Responsibilities

Compliance & Governance
· Design, implement, and maintain systems and processes to ensure ongoing compliance with ISO standards (e.g., quality, information security, or environmental standards as applicable).
· Develop, monitor, and continuously improve GDPR compliance systems, including data handling, storage, and processing practices.
· Establish and manage Health & Safety compliance frameworks, ensuring procedures are documented, implemented, and regularly reviewed.
· Create, maintain, and update company policies to reflect current regulations and best practices.
Data & Administrative Management
· Design and implement efficient record-keeping and documentation systems across compliance, inventory, and operational functions.
· Maintain accurate records and ensure systems are consistently updated and aligned with business needs.
· Provide general administrative support, including reporting, documentation control, and audit preparation.
· Ensure data integrity and consistency across all internally developed and managed systems.
Inventory & Equipment Oversight
· Develop and implement inventory management systems and processes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory lists using established systems.
· Create and manage equipment inspection processes, including scheduling, documentation, and follow-up actions.
· Conduct regular equipment inspections, ensuring findings are recorded and corrective actions are tracked to completion.
Business Development Support
· Develop and implement a sales plan aimed at generating new business opportunities.
· Identify potential leads and support outreach or engagement activities where required.
· Collaborate with relevant teams to align sales initiatives with company objectives.
Training & Development
· Deliver training sessions on an ad hoc basis.
· Develop, design, and maintain training materials, guidance documents, presentations, and supporting resources to meet organisational and client needs.
· Create structured training packages and programmes that can be delivered internally or commercially to external clients.
· Support the development of training content in line with current legislation, industry standards, and organisational policies.
· Contribute to the growth and profitability of the training function by identifying opportunities to increase training sales, expand client engagement, and promote training services to existing and prospective customers.
· Assist in the promotion and sale of training packages by supporting business development activities, identifying opportunities, and contributing to client engagement initiatives.
· Liaise with the management team to tailor training solutions to customer requirements and operational objectives.
· Implement quality assurance processes for training delivery and materials, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with relevant standards.
· Conduct regular reviews and updates of training content to ensure materials remain current, effective, and fit for purpose.
· Gather and analyse feedback from training sessions to support continuous improvement and enhance learner experience.
· Maintain accurate training records, attendance logs, certifications, and evaluation documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in training development or instructional design, with a strong emphasis on digital learning tools.
- Demonstrable teaching or mentoring experience with excellent presentation skills.
- Demonstrable experience with compliance for ISO standards.
- Demonstrable Data and Administrative experience.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
- Proficiency in SharePoint for content management and collaboration purposes.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Relevant qualifications in education, or organisational development are advantageous.
