Full job description

Job Overview

Quay Commercial is a specialist passive fire protection contractor delivering certified fire door installation, maintenance and compliance projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to oversee a major fire door installation project in North London.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with a strong reputation for quality, compliance and customer service.

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of a large fire door installation project, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

You will manage all aspects of the project from mobilisation through to completion, working closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and our installation teams.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day delivery of fire door installation works.
Plan, programme and coordinate site activities.
Supervise installation teams and subcontractors.
Ensure all works comply with manufacturer instructions, project specifications and relevant fire safety standards.
Maintain high standards of health and safety.
Monitor programme, costs and project performance.
Attend client meetings and provide regular progress updates.
Manage quality inspections, snagging and project handover.
Coordinate materials, deliveries and labour resources.
Maintain accurate project records and reporting.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is organised, commercially aware and confident managing projects in a live environment.

Ideally you will have:

Previous experience as a Project Manager within construction, passive fire protection, fire doors, interiors or fit-out.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Experience managing subcontractors and multiple workstreams.
Good commercial awareness.
Ability to read drawings and specifications.
A proactive approach to problem solving.
Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

Experience managing certified fire door installation projects.
Knowledge of passive fire protection and fire door compliance.
SMSTS.
CSCS Card.
First Aid at Work.
Asbestos Awareness.
Experience working within occupied or high-profile buildings.
