Purpose of the job:

The purpose of this role is to support the Paint Manager and the Paint-Shop in the day-to-day running of the department. Ensuring that you are working to the highest standards and that we meet/exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Responsibilities

Exterior polishing of parts, ensuring you are using the correct material and tools.
Ensuring finished parts do not have defects before shipping forward.
Adhere to all requirements for hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal.
Follow work instructions.
Understanding the preparation process required in order to achieve a high paint standard.
Quality checks on completion.
Adhere to all requirements for hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal.
Ability to produce high-quality parts.
Follow work instructions.
Meeting the customer requirements.

SKILLS:

Taking out any imperfections in the paint.
Flatting, polishing and the touching up of parts.
Confident in using all the necessary tools and equipment to achieve a polished part.
Previous carbon fibre prepping experience an advantage
Preparation of raw parts for primer
Preparation of primer for topcoat
Able to remove shape issues from a panel to give a flat surface
Able to use filler for pinholes and voids

ATTRIBUTES:

Previous carbon fibre experience preferred.
Experience in a high-pressured/fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of the Automotive or Motorsport industry.
Able to work to deadlines.
Can follow verbal and written instructions.
Works well within a team and independently.
Extremely detail orientated.
Strong communication skills.
