Hours: Full Time Monday - Friday. Early/Day Shift. Actual hours to be agreed (Flexibility required during busy periods).

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent.

Hourly Rate: From £12.71 (Pay to be reviewed, and increased after a successful probation period).

Role Overview

Due to business growth we are hiring a 3.5 Ton Van Driver to join our logistics team. Our customers are Funeral Directors, and they are based throughout the UK. The role is to deliver our products as directed by your daily schedule. You will meet our driver who is based from our main factory stated above at an agreed meeting point (Usually meeting at Baldock Services). This is where you will then trade your company van with that driver for one readily stocked with your goods prepared for delivery on the day to our customers in Oxford and surrounding areas. You will usually meet our driver around 06:00 - 07:00.

You will then drive to the delivery point of the customers, unloading the vehicle and completing company documents to reflect upon delivery being carried out.

You will carry out between 7 to 15 drops per day which will involve manual handling.

This is a single manned role. You will be our face-to-face representative and must have a passion for great customer service.

A good knowledge of paperwork and electronic devices / software would benefit the applicant, however full training will be given on our company processes.

Our Ideal Candidate:

Knowledge and experience with multi drop deliveries of medium sized manufactured items.
Vehicle knowledge to carry out daily checks and comply with legal requirements within your license category.
Good communication and administration skills.
Excellent customer service skills and professionalism.
Physically fit due to the nature of the role you will carry out manual handling duties on a daily basis.
A flexible can-do attitude to work.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years driving experience within a professional capacity.
Maximum 6 points on licence.
ADR license (Desirable).
