Role Overview
We are seeking a Trainee Production & Test Engineer to join the Electronics and Production team in a rewarding company with a friendly and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all of our products are assembled and tested to a high standard whilst completing accompanying build and test documentation.
Key Responsibilities
· Electronics test and fault finding of PCBs
· Building and testing hardware units
· Creating and maintaining build guides and test procedures
· Custom cable assembly
· Keeping existing documents and software records up to date
· Help improve testing techniques
About You
Essential
· The Right to Work in the United Kingdom
· Good interpersonal skills including communication and motivation
· A proactive approach to tasks and reporting
· Ambition, critical thinking / reasoning skills and an enthusiasm to learn and progress
· An interest in working towards a recognised engineering qualification (funded by the company with day release)
· Excellent attention to detail, organisation, time management and follow-through
Desirable
· Familiar with hardware debugging
· Experience with understanding electronics schematics
· Familiarity with aspects of the project life cycle from design to production
· A full, clean UK driving license is desirable but not essential
