An opportunity has arisen for a Farm Manager to join a Rearing/Laying Farm. Reporting directly to the farm owners and the Production Manager. You would be responsable for looking after a free range laying shed.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a hand on approach and excellent bird husbandry and welfare Standards.
As a strong team player with a positive attitude and be dedicated to maintaining bird performance, health and welfare. Attention to biosecurity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing ventilation, heating, lighting, feed and water systems to ensure optimal conditions for bird performance and welfare, egg collection, keeping shed clean and tidy.
- Keeping accurate farm records, including data on birds, feed and suppliers;
- Maintenance of building and equipment though regular checks and repairs as needed;
- Ensuring day to day compliance with welfare standards.
