Could you help shape the next generation of leaders for mission?

We are looking for someone who will help us accompany, equip and develop confident and missional leaders for a changing Church. Our new Leadership Development Officer will play a key role in enabling our clergy and lay ministers to be the best they can be and raising up the next generation of leaders.

You will join a supportive and collaborative team in a role which will see you:

· Design and help deliver training and formation programmes for curates and clergy in their early years of ministry through IME2 and IME3

· Develop sustainable leadership pathways, systems and processes that support the long-term growth of leaders across the Diocese

· Help create and shape a new Worcester School of Leadership, including initiatives for younger leaders and those exploring ministry

· Support lifelong learning by developing high-quality training opportunities and bespoke formation plans for clergy and key lay leaders

We are seeking a gifted and motivated individual who is passionate about developing people and equipping ministers for mission. You will be someone who:

· Can turn strategic vision into practical, effective and sustainable initiatives

· Is an excellent communicator and facilitator who can engage and inspire a wide range of people

· Works collaboratively and builds strong relationships across diverse teams and communities

The Diocese of Worcester is a great place to work, offering excellent holiday allowances, a generous non‑contributory pension and a supportive working environment. We are committed to helping staff achieve a healthy work–life balance.

· Hours: 35 hours per week, mainly Monday to Friday with some evening and weekend work

· Location: Hybrid – home working and diocesan offices, with travel across the Diocese required
