Job Title: School-Based Occupational Therapist
Location: Dudley
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Full-Time)
Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our supportive, multi-disciplinary team working within a school setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people with additional needs, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

You will work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, parents, and other professionals to deliver high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy interventions tailored to individual student needs.

Key Responsibilities

Assess, plan, and deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions for pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
Develop and implement individual therapy programmes and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Provide practical strategies and training to school staff to support pupils in the classroom.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Maintain accurate clinical records and reports in line with professional standards.
Liaise with families and external agencies where appropriate.

Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Experience working with children and young people with special needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, developmental coordination disorder).
Strong understanding of school-based therapy and educational frameworks.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential).
