As part of our ongoing efforts, we are seeking a passionate and skilled volunteer to help us capture high-quality images for our upcoming website and assist with various studio tasks.
Role Overview: As a Volunteer Studio Photographer & Creative Assistant, you will be responsible for taking creative, high-quality photos of our studio space, including the setup for different creative projects. These images will be used on our website and should reflect a professional, stock-image quality. You will also assist with setting up the studio, including heavy lifting, and provide support for office tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take creative and professional photos of the studio, backdrops, and projects, adhering to our specific guidelines.
- Set up lighting, backdrops, and equipment for photo shoots.
- Direct models and subjects to capture the perfect shot.
- Edit photos to remove blemishes, correct lighting issues, and ensure they meet the quality standards of stock images.
- Assist with setting up the studio for various creative projects, which may include heavy lifting.
- Provide administrative support in the office when needed.
Schedule:
- Mondays
- Saturdays
- One evening per week (flexible)
Requirements:
- Experience in photography, especially in a studio setting, is preferred.
- Knowledge of photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom) to enhance and retouch images.
- Ability to set up and manage studio equipment, including lighting and backdrops.
- Willingness to assist with heavy lifting and general studio setup tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity.
- Ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions.
- Passion for supporting community-driven creative arts initiatives.
