Job Overview

We are seeking a hard working and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation and supporting our matchday chefs. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the hospitality industry, particularly in food preparation and kitchen operations. The role is ideal for those who are reliable, hardworking, and eager to develop their skills in a live kitchen.

Duties

Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the head chef
Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised
Support with the organisation and restocking of supplies in the kitchen area
Help with waste disposal and maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen
Support chefs and other kitchen staff during busy service periods
Maintain health and safety standards by adhering to hygiene regulations at all times
Assist with general cleaning duties within the kitchen
Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by working collaboratively with colleagues

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, or culinary processes is desirable
Familiarity with kitchen safety and hygiene standards is beneficial
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Willingness to learn new skills related to food service and kitchen operations
Good communication skills and a professional attitude
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings or weekends
