As the Golf Shop Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the golf shop, ensuring the highest level of service for our members and visitors. You will be responsible for merchandising, stock control, sales, and ensuring the smooth running of the shop floor.
Working Hours:
This role is based on a 4-day work week, which must include Sundays.
Shift times vary seasonally to align with daylight hours:
* **Summer Hours:** 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
* **Winter Hours:** 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the daily operations of the golf shop, ensuring a premium retail experience.
* Provide expert advice on golf equipment, apparel, and accessories to members and visitors.
* Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stock taking, and merchandising.
* Assist with booking tee times, managing the daily play sheet, and checking in golfers.
* Process sales transactions and manage the till accurately.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing shop environment at all times.
Requirements:
Golf Knowledge:A strong understanding of the game of golf, including current equipment, brands, and apparel, is essential.
*Retail Experience: Preferably previous experience in retail management or customer service, preferably within a golf or sports environment.
Availability: Must be able to commit to a 4-day work week that includes working every Sunday.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a welcoming and professional demeanor. Strong organisational skills and basic computer/point-of-sale literacy.
