Full job description

Moor Fabrications is a manufacturing company based in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset. We specialise in fabricating industrial equipment from plastic materials, which we now proudly ship across the globe.

We are looking for new staff to join our piping division and help us keep up with a period of rapid growth. As plastic fabrication processes are relatively niche, we do not expect our new starters to have worked with our tooling before. However, any previous experience working in a manufacturing environment would be desirable. Plastic pipe fusion is a clean, safe and easy to learn process – but it takes practice, patience and focus to master it.

Key Responsibilities:

· Focussed and repetitive hands-on work, including socket fusion of plastic pipe and other common fabrication processes (using saws and other tools).

· Working to the technical fabrication drawings made by our customers or in-house design team. Following work instructions and quality procedures.

· Working with others to identify the most effective ways to build and check products - ensuring accuracy, repeatability and efficiency.

· Working

Essential Skills:

· Ability to read technical production drawings

· Strong verbal communication skills

· Experience with basic hand and power tools (e.g. knives, routers and circulating saws)

Desirable Attributes:

· Understanding of plastic materials

· Effective at time management

· Quick learner

· Positive attitude

· Independent problem solver

· Demonstrates Health and Safety awareness

Beneficial Qualifications:

· GCSEs in Maths/English

Other Requirements:

· The right to work within the UK (unfortunately we do not offer visa sponsorship at this time)

· Ability to commute to our workshop/office in Weston-super-Mare

Pay: £13.25-£13.75 per hour
