Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. This role involves transforming interior and exterior spaces through high-quality painting and decorating work. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction painting, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to the aesthetic and functional enhancement of various properties. Applicants must be organised, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming prior to painting or decorating
Applying paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care
Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations
Mixing paints and selecting appropriate tools for each task
Protecting surrounding areas from paint splashes or damage using masking tape and coverings
Collaborating with clients or project managers to understand project requirements and deadlines
Maintaining a clean and organised workspace throughout the duration of each project
Properties are mostly voids.

Skills

Proven experience in construction painting and decorating techniques
Valid driving licence is preferred for travelling between sites
Strong communication skills in English to liaise effectively with clients and team members
Excellent attention to detail to ensure high standards of finish
Good organisational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team
Knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to painting and decorating tasks
