Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Kids Camps Head Coach to lead our summer camp programmes. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with children, a strong background in sports coaching, and teaching experience. This paid role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young minds through engaging activities and sports, fostering teamwork, confidence, and enjoyment. The Head Coach will be responsible for planning, organising, and delivering age-appropriate sports sessions while ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.

Responsibilities

Lead daily sports activities and games tailored to various age groups, ensuring fun and safety at all times
Develop engaging lesson plans that promote skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship
Supervise children during activities, maintaining discipline and fostering positive behaviour
Organise team competitions and events to encourage participation and camaraderie
Collaborate with other camp staff to ensure programme objectives are met and activities run smoothly
Provide guidance and mentorship to assistant coaches or volunteers as needed
Monitor participant progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians where appropriate
Ensure all equipment is maintained in good condition and used safely during activities

Skills

Proven experience in sports coaching, preferably with children or young people
Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children of different ages
Organisational skills to plan engaging sessions that cater to varying abilities and interests
Enthusiasm for working outdoors and leading active sessions in a dynamic environment
Ability to motivate and inspire children while maintaining a professional attitude
Good organisational skills to manage multiple activities simultaneously
Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role

Pay: £12.21-£18.00 per hour
