Royal Cinque Ports is one of the premier golf clubs in the UK and is renowned throughout the golfing world. In order to maintain this reputation and continue to thrive, the Club needs a team of dedicated, professional and enthusiastic people working for it.
Reporting to the Director of Golf & Head Professional and the Golf & Membership Secretary, the Club Operations Administrator will play an important role within a friendly and forward-thinking team. The responsibilities and characteristics of this role will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Please note Golf knowledge or previous experience working in the golf industry is preffered.
Golf
- Assisting with the management of the tee booking system, ensuring that information is up to date and accurate
- Liaising with visitors to advise them on relevant Club information, such as dress code and handicap requirements. Also to include up-selling the Club’s extra services, such as catering
- Welcoming visitors, making sure that they are aware of arrangements made for them and of the dress code
- Assisting with the reconciliation of green fees from both visitors and members’ guests
Membership
- Dealing with day-to-day member queries via phone, email and in person in a timely and professional manner
- Helping members with the Club website
- Assisting with the annual subscription run from planning, to invoicing to payment reconciliation
Competitions
- Assisting with the running of competitions - from the planning stage through to completion
Events
· Assisting with the Club’s preparation for premier events such as Deal Week, The South East of England Links Championship and The Halford Hewitt Tournament
· Assisting with the organisation of the Club’s dinners and other social functions
Club Administration
Assisting with the general day-to-day administration and function of the Club in all its forms

Additional responsibilities include:
· The Club Operations Administrator would be expected to be present for major Club events and competitions
· Welcoming visitors, making sure that they are aware of arrangements made for them and of the relevant Club rules and requirements
· Checking that working procedures are being accurately carried out, and in a timely manner
· Ensuring colleagues receive the information they need to perform their duties in a professional manner, including details about visitors
· Following up on any complaints that are received. This will involve contacting the member or visitor and trying to resolve the complaint
· Keeping yourself well informed of any changes to the Club and its operation

Pay: £25,000.00-£27,500.00 per year
