Churchfields Care is opening a new Family Assessment Centre in Ashford, Kent — a brand-new service being developed from the ground up.
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Responsible Individual (RI) to take overall accountability for the service, ensuring it is safe, effective, compliant, and delivering positive outcomes for families.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role in shaping a specialist service from its inception.
About the Role
As the Responsible Individual, you will hold overall responsibility for governance, compliance, and strategic oversight of the service.
You will ensure the service is well-led, financially sustainable, and operating in line with Ofsted regulations and National Minimum Standards, while supporting the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality day-to-day care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and governance oversight
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and National MinimumStandards
- Oversee and support the Registered Manager
- Monitor quality, risk, incidents, and service performance
- Liaise with regulators, commissioners, and external stakeholders
- Ensure the service is appropriately resourced and financially viable
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

- New Family Assessment Centre being developed from the ground up

About You
- Senior leadership experience in health or social care
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and National Minimum Standards
- Experience in quality, risk, and compliance oversight
- Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills
- Confidence managing quality, compliance, and staff teams
- Passion for safe, high-quality, person-centred care
