Full job description

Buy Whole Foods Online Ltd, a successful family-run ecommerce business, is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Despatch Operative to join our friendly warehouse team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our customers receive their orders on time and in perfect condition.

As a Despatch Operative, you’ll be responsible for accurately picking, carefully packing, and preparing products for shipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Accurately pick and pack products according to order requirements

· Inspect items for quality, damage, or defects before packing

· Ensure all packed orders are properly labelled and ready for dispatch

· Assist with stock replenishment and maintaining pick-face accuracy

· Load and unload goods safely

· Keep work areas clean, tidy, and safe

· Work closely with other team members to meet daily targets

· Follow company health & safety policies and procedures

Requirements

· Prior warehouse experience (1 year preferred, especially in picking/packing)

· Good understanding of quality control processes

· Familiarity with shipping and receiving operations

· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

· Comfortable using warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, scanners, etc.)

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team

Shifts Available

4 days on 4 day off 6am to 6pm

· (Flexibility required during busy periods, with overtime and weekend shifts available.)

Buy Whole Foods Online is a busy, family-run business based in Minster, Kent. We are one of the UK’s leading online whole foods retailers, and our success comes from our dedicated team and strong focus on teamwork, accuracy, and customer care.

Please note: while this role is currently based at our Minster site, in 2027 we will be opening a new purpose-built dispatch warehouse in Dover, Kent. This role will therefore require relocation to our new Dover site at that time.
