Farm Shop Assistant / Cashier

We are looking for a friendly, hardworking, and enthusiastic individual to join the team at Algar Lodge Farm Shop as a Farm Shop Assistant / Cashier.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a welcoming and supportive team in a busy farm shop environment, where excellent customer service and high retail standards are at the heart of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities

Providing outstanding customer service on the till and shop floor
Replenishing, pricing, and rotating stock to ensure shelves remain fully stocked and attractively displayed
Carrying out regular date checks and maintaining high quality control standards
Ensuring the shop is clean, organised, and well presented at all times
Developing strong product knowledge to confidently assist and advise customers
Supporting the team with the smooth day-to-day running of the farm shop

What We’re Looking For

Previous retail and customer service experience is essential
A positive, reliable, and approachable attitude
Strong communication and customer service skills
The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends

Position Details

Full-time, permanent position
5 days per week
Weekend availability required
