Job Purpose: We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and energetic
Facade Designer to join our busy technical team, You will work closely with the technical team and providing drawing and technical information, NBS specifications and a high level of customer support & service.
The role offers the opportunity to grow and develop as the company grows and becoming a integral part of the façade team introducing new façade finishes and certification for new systems. Knowledge of building techniques and standards, covering all areas when issuing project specifications, drawings, and working with 3rd party specialists in relation for our facade systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with architects, developers & contractors in understanding project requirements to produce project specifications, It’s important to be able to use drawing software such as AutoCAD or similar, to produce drawings and details, Thermal performance U-value and interstitial condensation calculations to customers and clients according to policy.
Advise customers on technical specification, through in-depth knowledge of current EWI PAS 20-35 regulations, render systems, SFS brick slip systems, and façade finishes etc.
Support incoming technical queries working closely within the technical team.
Technically support the Licata Area Sales Managers.
Work with approved contractors to support additional detailing as required for specific projects.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant construction and product legislation.
To have an ongoing understanding of future market trends, industry and competitor developments.
Key Skills Requirements.
Qualification within a building, architectural or engineering related discipline.
Experience in Cad drawing software and BIM .
Knowledge JPA/Build desk software for U-value calculations.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word / Excel
Experience in reading and understanding architectural/construction drawings.
Knowledge and understanding of NBS specifications.
Awareness of relevant construction and product related regulations, planning, building control and NHBC.
