Job Description:
Junior Designer
Sorrells is the leading custom wine cellar manufacturer in Europe working on the most prestigious projects around the world, we are looking for a motivated Junior Designer to join our design team, working on high-end bespoke interior and woodwork projects. This is a development-focused role, ideal for someone with an existing foundation in design who is looking to build technical skills and progress within a luxury design environment.
The Role
You will support the design team across concept development, technical drawings, and production information. You’ll be working closely with senior designers and will receive structured training in our workflows and software, including Autodesk Inventor, Blender and other Autodesk tools.
This role offers hands-on experience across real projects, from early design stages through to manufacture and installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop custom wine cellars, unique joinery, and metalwork for residential and commercial interiors.
- Produce detailed production drawings essential for manufacturing a wide range of custom projects.
- Create visually compelling renders to aid in client presentations and design visualization.
- Present designs to clients, collaborating on feedback for the best outcome.
Requirements:
- A genuine interest in woodwork, joinery, and luxury interior design previous experience needed.
- Some prior design experience (education or industry-based)
- Experience with CAD software (Inventor, AutoCAD, Fusion, SolidWorks, or similar)
- A willingness to learn technical detailing and manufacturing-led design
- Good attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team
- Basic Excel knowledge is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided
