About the role
We are currently looking for a Pre-Production Coordinator to join our busy team here at our Head Office in Basildon, Essex.
This role will be responsible for ensuring design release information is current, correct and production packages are fully coordinated to ensure quality expectations are maintained and project programmes are not compromised
You will be responsible for previewing and processing the design release information for manufacture.
Key duties
· Preview design release information packs ensuring latest revisions, requisitions and drawing registers have been included.
· Establish scope of works including an assessment of design details by previewing drawings in AutoCAD, ensuring any design issues identified are addressed before scheduling for manufacture, compliance adherence and site access is considered, prior to assembly / delivery.
· Process information packs ensuring correct quantities have been processed for distribution i.e. Manufacture, Upholstery, Metalwork, and Site etc.
· Distribute information packs for either filing, internal manufacturing departments or dispatch to site via internal postal system.
· Review drawings to identify any potential long lead material requirements and subsequently establishing quantities required for prompt procurement.
·Generate a production ‘Briefing Sheet’ which provides a consolidation of design information i.e. Surface Finishes / Metalwork / Corian or Stone including an insight into the coordination for works to be undertaken either within B&C works or at the contractor’s place of works.
·Collate information / materials and coordinate manufacture to produce project samples to be submitted for client approval.
· Provide joinery scheduling support as and when required.
·Support the generation of Project programmes, providing manufacture durations to establish practical delivery dates.
·Identifying suitable works for external manufacture at the earliest opportunity.
· Attending regular internal meetings and ensuring key information is shared with the team.
· Continually monitor design release information, ensuring any updates or amendments are promptly communicated to the relevant staff.
About you
Essential
· Previous experience within a similar role
· Extensive knowledge of joinery and associated materials
· The ability to read production drawings.
· Competent in the use of 2D AutoCAD
· Highly organised
· Proficient in Microsoft Window Software Packages
