Norris Steam Services is looking for an ambitious and motivated individual to join our growing team as a Marketing & Operations Assistant.

Established for over 50 years, Norris Steam Services supplies specialist steam pressing equipment and components to the fashion, garment care and laundry industries. Our customers include world-renowned fashion houses in Bond Street, leading department stores in Knightsbridge, and the UK's largest dry-cleaning organisations.
With sales increasing by almost 50% over the past five years, we are investing in the future of our business and are looking for someone who wants to grow with us.
About the Role
This is a varied position combining marketing and communications, administration, operations and customer support. No two days are the same.
You'll play an important role in helping the business run smoothly while developing skills across multiple areas of the company.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing online orders and transferring information into Sage 50 Accounts
- Managing and updating customer records and company data
- Creating and sending marketing email campaigns to our customer database
- Supporting and updating our social media channels
- Assisting with order fulfilment and preparing goods for dispatch
- Organising stock and supporting warehouse operations
- Assisting with incoming deliveries
- Providing general office and administrative support
- Learning about our products and customer requirements
Career Progression

As you develop within the role, you'll gain increasing responsibility across marketing, operations, customer service and business administration, with the opportunity to progress towards an Assistant Manager position.
You'll work directly with the business owners, giving you valuable exposure to all aspects of running a successful company.

Essential Skills
- Experience using Sage 50 Accounts
- Experience creating email campaigns using Mailchimp or similar software
- Able to take control of social media channels creating content and responding to questions.
- Able to administer a WordPress website
- Good IT and administrative skills
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Confident speaking on the phone in a professional manner
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Physically capable of assisted lifting and moving products up to approximately 25kg when required
